2014 Flora of New Jersey Meeting Dates
The Flora of New Jersey annouces the following dates for telephone conference calls. These calls are used to provide members and interested participants updates and news on the progress. Chrysler Herbarium is the home base of the Flora. Seasonal in herbarium work days will be posted after the re-organization meeting. New York Botanical Garden’s Specimens Available in Digital Form
A news recent report in the weekly journal Science (Vol. 342 pg 173, 11 October 2013) describes the New York Botanical Garden's effort to digitize and photograph their massive 7 million specimen collection. According to the report, approximately 2million specimens are now available on-line for viewing at http://sciweb.nybg.org/science2/VirtualHerbarium.asp.
