Torrey Botanical Society Hosts FNJP’s Dr. Matt Palmer April 8th, 2014

Matt Palmer, PhD, Columbia University botany professor and Flora of New Jersey’s Atlas chairperson, will speak to the Torey Botanical Society April 8, 2014. 

Dr. Palmer’s topic will be Urban Vegetation in New York City: Ecosystem functions in both natural and built environments.  Matt will share his expertise and discuss the importance of urban vegetation with its role in the urban ecosystem. 

Torrey Botanical Society’s April 8, 2014 meeting will be held 6:30 PM at The Arsenal in Central Park.  All lectures are free and open to the public.
