Ted Gordon, founding member of FNJP, dies

Ted leading a field trip in one of his signature hats Ted Gordon, one of the founding members for the Flora of New Jersey Project, passed away Sunday May 10, 2026.  He was 87 years old. Burden Hill, Salem County Vegetation Article Provides New Insights to the Often Neglected and Misunderstood Region

Seabeach Amaranth Video’ “A Rare Species on the Move”

The Department of Environmental Protection has recently released a video on our endangered seabeach amaranth, Amaranthus pumilus.  A number of scientists have been documenting the distribution and challanges facing this very unusual marine edge species, and the video captures their work and facts that surround this tiny plant. Updated lists for NJ Bryophytes and Slime Molds now available on line
